UC Davis
UC Davis offers a paid Summer 2026 internship program in semiconductor microelectronics technology. This opportunity is open to undergraduate students from UC Davis, Sacramento State University (CSUS), and community colleges in the Greater Sacramento and Stockton areas who are majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Chemistry.
Funded through federal government grants and aligned with national priorities under the CHIPS and Science Act, this program provides hands-on experience in semiconductor microelectronics. Participants will work on projects involving the design, manufacturing, testing, and application of semiconductor technologies, while collaborating in teams under the guidance of UC Davis faculty and industry partners.

Internship Structure
- Duration: 6–10 weeks (Summer 2026)
- Location: UC Davis Campus
- Stipend: $800 per week
- Time Commitment: Minimum 30 hours per week (hands-on training and professional development)
- Final Symposium: Participants will present their project outcomes in October 2026
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be undergraduate students at UC Davis, Sacramento State University, or community colleges in the Greater Sacramento and Stockton areas
- Be in good academic standing
- Have completed at least 30 quarter units (or 20 semester units) of non-remedial college-level coursework
- Have completed at least 50% of their coursework in STEM disciplines
