Hub Fab Facilities Coordinator

Mary Tang

Mary supports coordination of programs involving the Hub nanofacilities at Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Western Digital. She received her Ph.D. in Joint Program in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Francisco and Berkeley, studying DNA nanoparticles for gene delivery. Her professional experience includes seven years at Intel as a plasma process engineer as well as post-doctoral and research associate appointments exploring microfluidics and biosensors. In 2013, she became the Managing Director of the Stanford Nanofabrication Facility (SNF) in nano@stanford, one of 16 sites that comprised NSF’s National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure, enabling open access to support R&D innovation and translation to commercialization. In 2025, she became the Managing Director of nano@stanford, an open-access, device fabrication and materials characterization resources serving over 1400 researchers and innovators in 2025.
