Kia Omid-Zohoor
Kia Omid-Zohoor is the Director of CXR Technology Operations at Stanford University, where he leads technology enablement and foundry engagement for the CMOS+X Route (CXR), a national prototyping platform supporting researchers, startups, and innovators in advanced disruptive technologies.With more than 35 years of experience in technology development, he has led programs spanning microprocessors, memory, and FPGA technologies across leading-edge CMOS nodes. Before joining Stanford, he held senior leadership roles at Intel, Lattice Semiconductor, Sony, Renesas, and AMD, where he managed cross-functional teams, established advanced device labs, and guided technology development and transfers with global foundry partners. He has worked extensively with major foundries worldwide and is inventor of 18 U.S. patents.At CXR, He focuses on enabling secure, rapid and affordable access to advanced fabrication, supporting CMOS+X integration, and building sustainable infrastructure reducing barriers to advanced semiconductor prototyping.
